October's Quote to Ponder

"In the world it calls itself Tolerance, but in hell it is called Despair. It is the accomplice of the other sins and their worst punishment. It is the sin which believes nothing, cares for nothing, seeks to know nothing, interferes with nothing, enjoys nothings, loves nothing, hates nothing, finds purpose in nothing, lives for nothing, and only remains alive because there is nothing it would die for."

Wow. I love these monthly quotes you put up: they're a good idea. As for Dorothy Sayers...what a brilliant woman.

What would you suggest using to describe the action of "tolerating" something, since "tolerance" brings up a current social fashion? I.e. tolerating pain, tolerating my sister ;-) etc?

Hmm, maybe "perseverance"? (i.e. persevering through pain)

I decided to start the monthly quotes because of how infrequently I've been posting. While I want to post more, I don't want to post just to post. I'd rather they be meaningful, but meaningful posts take time to write. Thus... thought-provoking words from the minds of those who are much wiser.

More posts should be on the way... some time. I have a good number in my "drafts" folder, though most of them are just ideas with very little written.

The quote is just as good as ever.

Finally decided I just may as well go under the title of ANONYMOUS. You know who I am.

--Ooh, caught recycling quotes. But you're right, it's still a great quote. I guess that's why I keep using it.

--Hey, if I can recycle quotes, you can recycle pseudonyms. Just so I know you'll be coming back :-)

I am back, though I've cycled through my own stash of pseudonyms. You've probably not seen this one before, but it still is me.
